How can I avoid taxi misunderstandings or overcharging?

Use a clearly identified licensed service or a booking you can trace. Before departure, confirm the destination, payment method and whether the charge follows a meter or an agreed booking price. For an app booking, match the car and driver to the booking. Keep the receipt or electronic trip record. Kraków publishes passenger guidance and tariff rules; airport journeys and journeys outside the city need their own terms checked. If something looks wrong, record the trip details and contact the operator rather than relying on an unrecorded verbal promise.
