## Should I rent a car, and what about the Low Emission Zone?

For a city-focused trip, compare walking and public transport before hiring a car. Check parking and legal access to the exact accommodation separately. Kraków’s Low Emission Zone has vehicle requirements; foreign-registered vehicles must be entered in the system even when they meet emissions standards, according to city guidance. A paid parking space does not itself authorize zone entry. Use the official checker for your registration, vehicle and travel date, and ask a rental company who handles any formalities. Recheck rules before driving.
