93. Can I rely on an ordinary taxi to have a suitable child seat?

Reserve the specific seat in advance and give the child’s age, height and weight. Ask for written confirmation that the vehicle will carry the appropriate restraint, not simply that it is “family friendly”. An ordinary street pickup or app request may not provide one. If it cannot be confirmed, consider public transport or a prebooked transfer that can meet the requirement. Do not infer safety from any legal exception for taxis.
